PlanBee is a new small business out of Langley, BC in BC. At PlanBee we grow and order native plants to sell with the aim of making these plants more accessible to the public and helping the declining populations of bees, butterflies and other insects/wildlife.

My name is Josh Thompson and I am the owner of PlanBee Native Plants, I first found my interest in bees a few years ago and quickly my research showed me how many misconceptions their were about bees/pollinators and even just common gardening practices that are actively hurting the environment and already declining insect populations.  I eventually realized that the best thing the average person can do especially if you own property is to plant plants that are native to the ecosystem of your surrounding area!  It seems so simple, but surprisingly even though these plants grow and occur around us naturally they were not easy to find or get your hands on except for a few select species if you’re lucky.

With this new knowledge it became my passion to do what I can do help the bees as well as insect & wildlife as a whole by trying to make these plants easier to find as well educating people about the true significance of these plants and whats happening to our environment.

I hope to grow & expand in the future helping to restore habitat and inspire other to make positive change along the way!
